Top Table Boutique – Terms and Conditions of Hire
Section 1:- Hire period
The hire period is for 1-4 days as agreed on booking. If you require the items for a longer period please contact us for a quote.
Section 2:- Delivery/collection
Our Crystal Trees incur a delivery and collection charge if the venue is over a ten mile radius of Reach. There is an additional charge of 50p per mile each way to a radius of approximately 60 miles. However we will happily quote for longer journeys should you require and keep delivery costs to a minimum at all times.
Delivery and collection date and times will be agreed with you on confirmation of order.
Delivery and collection charges are based upon delivery/collection to and from the ground floor only, and on condition that the goods for collection have been re-packed safely in the original packaging in boxes provided and are ready for collection. If it is not possible to fulfil these conditions then please let us know when placing your order as charges will be adjusted accordingly.
Crystal Tree, Crystal Candelabra & Martini Glasses
You are very welcome to collect the items available on a collection and return only basis from our address in Reach, Cambridge, at no extra charge.
Section 3:- Checking and signing of goods
It is very important that you check your items carefully upon receipt and sign the accompanying delivery note accordingly.
Please report any discrepancies to us within 24 hours of collection/delivery.
Upon signing you are fully responsible for the care of all items and are expected to return them to “Top Table Boutique” in good order.
Section 4:- Condition of goods
All items are hired in good condition with no chips.
Section 5:- Cleaning/Packaging –Crystal Candelabra, Martini Glasses and Mirrored Plates
We are very happy to provide a washing up service on return of items which is charged at 25% of the total hire cost. Please request this service at the time of your order.
For items that are returned to us for cleaning, please remove any surplus dirt. We regret that should this not occur, we reserve the right to make a surcharge.
All goods are provided packaged in boxes specifically made for that product. Therefore all goods must be re-packaged in the original boxes provided ready for return. A charge will be made for non-return or damage of original boxes and packaging as this will them deem the hired goods unsuitable for future re-hire. Therefore a fee of half the retail value of the hired item will be charged.
Martini Glasses: Martini Glasses must be handled with care, all vases should not be lifted by the lip of the vase but with two hands at the base of the bowl. Hired glassware is the responsibility of the Hirer from the time the hired items leave Top Table Boutique until it is returned back to the Hiree, therefore glassware in transit is still the responsibility of the Hirer. If the Hiree has delivered and provided glassware direct to a venue or household the Hirer is responsible for the goods after delivery and set up by the Hiree until the hired goods have been collected from the venue or household by the Hiree. The Hiree will not accept any other glassware product that is not stated on the booking confirmation as a replacement of any damaged hired glassware.
Crystal Candelabra – Only non drip candles to be used or LED candles (available through Top Table Boutique). Candelabra must be dismantled and stored in correct packing as supplied. Any candelabra returned with damaged parts will be charged at full replacement cost. Due to the delicate nature of the candelabra, flower arrangements should not be placed on the arms.
Section 6:- Prices/payment
Crystal Trees prices are quoted for a set up and collection service up to a ten mile radius of Reach, Cambridgeshire. There is a minimum hire of eight trees to qualify for set up and collection.
All other prices quoted on the website do not include delivery or collection, we are happy to arrange this for you, at a pre-agreed cost.
A deposit of 25% is due on confirmation of your booking to secure your order. Payment can be made by cash, online bank transfer, via Paypal or by cheque.
The balance of payment is due 30 days prior to the event/hire along with a refundable breakage deposit.
A refundable breakage deposit of £100 is payable at the same time as your balance. This will be refunded on the safe return of the goods. Damages will be ducted and additional payment requested if damages over security deposit,
If the delivery date is within 30 days of booking then full payment is due at the time of placing your order.
Any items held longer than the agreed hire period will be charged at 1.5 times the normal hire rate per day.
Section 7:- Charges/damages
We do know accidents can happen! Please let us know about any item damaged, cracked, chipped, broken or missing when returning your items or when collection is made. Martini Glasses and Candelabra returned chipped will be charged as broken.
Breakages/damage/loss will be charged according to the value of the item as follows:

Miscellaneous items – priced individually
The breakage deposit will be refunded once all items have been checked and the order is deemed to be complete and in good order. “Top Table Boutique” will advise you of any item(s) found to be damaged, cracked, chipped, broken or missing that have not been reported at collection stage within 72 hours of collection and a charge will be deducted from the breakage deposit, should damage costs exceed the deposit additional payment will be requested.
Section 8:- Cancellation Charges
If for any reason you have to cancel your order the deposit will be as follows
Notice of cancellation 6 months or longer – deposit refunded in full
Notice of cancellation less than 6 months – deposit non refundable
Notice of cancellation less than 30 days prior to hire – 100% of hire charge
Section 9:- Responsibility & Liability
Goods supplied at all times remain the property of “Top Table Boutique”. You (the hirer)are responsible for the goods from the time they are collected/delivered. This responsibility only ends when the goods have been collected/returned to us.
The Hirer is solely responsible for the Hired Goods not the reception/event venue/hotel/florist or any other third party to whom the Hirer has entrusted the Hire Goods. The Hirer alone shall be responsible for ensuring the Hired Goods are kept in good order from the time of collection from the Hiree until back into the possession of the Hiree.
Therefore if the Hirer intends to leave Hired Goods anywhere other than in the Hirer’s possession before or after the event an agreement of a good provision of storage must be made and organized direct with the hotel or third party by the Hirer and does so at their own risk. If the Hirer intends to leave directly after the event finishes eg. Honeymoon, the Hirer must organize the take down, re-packaging and return of all hired goods prior to the event, nominating a third party to act on their behalf, the contact names, addresses and telephone numbers should be made known the the Hiree so that the goods can be located after the event. The Hirer will still be fully responsible for the hired goods even when dealt with by a third party.
Your responsibility includes safekeeping and protection of the goods in your care.
No responsibility can be accepted for any injury or damage caused by the hire items, however caused.
Whilst in the unlikely event that an item malfunctions we will attempt to repair or replace it. We regret however that we cannot accept liability for any claims arising from such malfunctions or breakdown.
The Hiree shall not be responsible for injury or damage to persons or property howsoever sustained arising from any Hired Goods from Top Table Boutique.
